The brocade silks used for my reed cases are personally selected and purchased by me in China, during two separate trips there. These are authentic Chinese silks, chosen in person rather than from online catalogs, allowing me to compare their textures, colors, and patterns and bring back the ones that best suited the project. During these trips, I also had the opportunity to meet the producers behind these fabrics and establish a direct relationship with them, giving me a closer connection to the materials I use in each case.

Each silk has its own combination of color, pattern, and detail. Because these fabrics are sourced personally and in limited quantities, some designs may only be available for a certain period of time.
